Understanding Homelessness
The 2022 Lenten Series: Understanding Homelessness
For our first project, the Outreach Committee will focus on homelessness and housing affordability in a 6-part Lenten Educational Series. Each week, a committee member will give a short presentation during the regular Sunday morning service on a particular aspect of the topic. The culmination of this series will be a discussion of action that St. Paul’s can take to help address this critical issue.
During this whole time we look forward to your ideas and suggestions.
- Part 1: Introduction to the Outreach Project: Homelessness and Affordable Housing
- Part 2: Who are the homeless? What are the causes of homelessness?
- Part 3: What are the roles of all levels of government in addressing homelessness and housing affordability?
- Part 4: What actions are being taken in other communities? Case Study: “A Better Tent City” (Kitchener)
- Part 5: What is happening in Hamilton?
- Part 6: What can St. Paul’s congregation do to help?
