Introduction and Overview

Outreach Committee

Thank you for your interest in St. Paul’s Outreach Committee!

About Us

The Outreach Committee was created to further the work of the Church in our community:
to promote awareness of societal needs and concerns, and
encourage the congregation to seek a Christian response to such concerns.

The work of this committee takes many forms, including:

Canadian Foodgrains Bank

Community Dinners

Wesley Urban Ministries

Affordable Housing & Homelessness

In late 2021 the committee conducted a survey to better understand the societal issues of most concern to the congregation. The survey showed us that Housing Affordability & Homelessness is the #1 issue that needs to be addressed in 2022 by this committee.

An educational Lenten Series was delivered in 2022.

Understanding Homelessness:

Introduction to the Issue of Homelessness

Poverty - Taking Action

Please consider sending a message to our politicians to encourage more action on poverty by implementing a Guaranteed Livable Income across Canada. In support of the United Church of Canada's advocacy toward a Guaranteed Livable Income we have provided templates of letters here that you can use to send your own message to our politicians.

How You Can Help

Please send us your suggestions, questions, and ideas for actions that we can take.
